Some people drive a bus. Others make a difference every single day. 🚌🧡🖤
Bus driver Greg Roberts is one of those people who goes above and beyond for our students and our district. No matter the day, Greg shows up with a smile on his face and a positive attitude that brightens the mornings for everyone around him.
One of the many ways he connects with students is by spending time at Pence Elementary before school — often playing catch with a student and creating moments that mean more than words can say. It’s a simple act, but it speaks volumes about the care, dedication, and heart he brings to Fairfield Community School District each and every day.
Thank you, Greg, for making a lasting impact on our students and school community. 🧡🖤

Three of Mrs. Bradfield’s iJAG students are bringing home a huge win after competing at the Skills Development Conference at University of Northern Iowa yesterday!
Reyna Gonzalez, Abbigail Beggs, and Hannah Giberson earned 1st place with their presentation of The L.O.V.E. Project, beating out teams from nine other schools across Iowa.
Their project focused on making our community skatepark a safer, more welcoming place for everyone. The students researched the costs of removing graffiti and vandalism, explored ways to support families and young skaters, and worked to include the current skate community in positive solutions for the future.
Not only did these students identify a real community need, but they also created a thoughtful plan to help make a difference. Their hard work, teamwork, and leadership impressed the judges and earned them top honors at the conference.
Next, the team will present their ideas to the Beautification Committee as they continue working to improve our community.
Congratulations to Reyna, Abbigail, Hannah, and Mrs. Bradfield on this outstanding achievement — and good luck at the next meeting!

Thank you to the following community volunteers who spoke with our 6th grade writing classes recently: Dr. Grant Landon , Bryan Hunger, John Grunwald, Sarah Brecount, Shelbee Richards, Seth Miller, Dallas Boyer, and Joz Hamilton. Students interviewed community members to gather information to write a biography. We can't wait to read the final products!
