Today's (Sat. Dec 14) Home JV/V girls basketball games vs Davis County have been CANCELLED.
Due to the icy weather forecast and the early morning departure, Fairfield will NOT be attending Keokuk's JV boys and V girls wrestling tournaments tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 14).
CANCELLATION: The HS Girls Wrestling Tournament scheduled for today (Friday, December 13) in Ottumwa has been CANCELLED.
Ten Talented and Gifted Students will compete in the First LEGO League Robotics Regional in Cedar Rapids this Saturday Dec. 14th. 2024.

Students had to Create an Innovative Solution for Underwater Exploration, program and code an autonomous robot and prepare a formal research presentation to share with judges. They will compete with 24 different teams from around Iowa.
The students are Zekiah Martinez, Lewis Vanskike, William Bauer, Liam Dowd-Robbins, Hayden Fulton, Payton Sirdoreus, Zef Hennesy, Delaney Ward, Alex Creer and Quimby Scotton.

During tonight's (Friday, Dec 6) Home HS Basketball games there is an Organ Donor Awareness Night planned. Spectators are encouraged to support the event by dressing in WHITE. Go Trojans!
This morning at Fairfield High School maintenance was being performed on the school's heating system. During the process, dust set off the fire alarm. Students and staff were successfully evacuated while the building was checked for a possible fire. No fire was found and school resumed.

A big thank you to Fairfield's Mayor Connie Boyer for visiting 7th grade Language Arts at the Middle School on Monday! She discussed what mayors do and answered lots of great student questions. We appreciate her taking time out of her busy day to help us understand our city government before we write our "If I were mayor..." essays!

Iowa Science Phenomena
(iowaphenomena.org) from Iowa PBS offers a growing collection of local standards-aligned phenomena, unique and relevant to the students and teachers of Iowa. You are invited to contribute to this collection by joining this one-day outdoor event.
On November 16, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Iowa PBS and Jefferson County Conservation will host an outdoor adventure with a guided tour of Jefferson County Park. Prior to the tour, we will offer valuable tips and tricks to help improve your own amateur nature photography skills. Don’t miss your chance to connect with nature and explore Jefferson County Park. The images you capture may be used in our Iowa Science Phenomena collection.
This experience is for all ages and is family-friendly. Registration is not required.
