On Friday, our 5th graders had a "campfire" read along (fire on the projector screen) where they got comfortable with pillows and blankets from home, grabbed their books, and read for the whole 40 minutes of their Language Arts class.
How did the students respond to reading for such a long time? They loved it! Their responses included:
"I wish we could do this every day."
"I'm reading when I get home."
"This was fun."
Thanks, Ms. Alexander and Mrs. McHugh, for such a great experience for our students!
