Fairfield Community School District is asking the students & staff to wear blue on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in the memory of Kyler Rugg of Waco CSD, who tragically lost his life.

The 5th graders in Social Studies are currently studying about the causes of the American Revolution. They got to role play with having a king and queen and assigning taxes to the colonists. Students had fun protesting the different taxes they didn't feel were right. They got to see what it was like to be told what to do by the king and parliament. Some chose to pay the tax and follow the "king's rules" while others found out what would happen to them if they didn't pay. This all led to the founding of our country.

On Thursday at Fairfield High School, local businesses joined us to conduct mock interviews with our junior class. It was a valuable learning experience, and students had a great time practicing real-world interview skills. Thank you to all the businesses who volunteered their time to support our students!

A big THANK YOU to Ben of Brown's Shoe Fit of Fairfield for spending some time answering questions at our monthly Trojans Live event. He gave great insight to our students about managing a business, changing course in life, values and skills needed in the work force, and balancing work with family.
