Pence Staff Shout-out: 3rd grade Team
This team is awesome! Each member contributes to the success of the group. I can go to any one of them with a question and be supported. All voices are heard and respected. We have each other's backs. And, our team meetings always include plenty of laughter! I love the 3rd grade team!
These 6th graders participated in the Mt. Pleasant Honor Band today. They spent the day rehearsing their music and then performed in a concert this afternoon! They did a fantastic job🎸🥁🎶🎹🎤

Our Portrait of a Trojan Design Team is underway! At our first meeting on Tuesday, the team looked at landscape shifts in our society and the impacts those have on schools. At our next meeting we'll apply our learning about those shifts to start the process of identifying the competencies we value and commit to developing in all of our learners. #OneFairfield

This action team works to create a positive culture and environment at FMS while making deposits in people's emotional bank accounts. This is all tied to our leader in me work that we've been doing for four years. Love the stuff ❤️

After 2 weeks of competition, the FHS Varsity Mario Kart Team moves from a tie for 5th place in their division to sole possession of 4th place with a score of 177 on the season. Next Tuesday, April 4th, they will square off against Urbandale and Centerville.

Reesa shows up each day with a smile and ready for what the day brings. She is loved by all students, as she is kind and helpful to any student she encounters. She holds students to high standards while meeting them where they are at. She is an amazing asset to our Pence Family!

Our second annual Leader In Me community event was a success today! We are super proud of all of our student's presentation skills and hard work ethic. We also want to thank all of the community businesses for coming out today! Special thanks goes to our Leader In Me teacher action team that organized and put this event together this year. We still have another community event tomorrow from 9 to 11 if you'd like to join us!
