6th grade Assignment Journal qualifiers spent the day in Des Moines going to an Iowa Cubs game. The Cubs were tied 6-6 when we had to leave, but the kids enjoyed their time at Principal Park. Highlights were Emma got to do the announcing during the 3rd inning. Channing, Easton, and Dagin raced to be the fastest Hamburger. Liam used his humor in the joke of the day, while Gage and Elvis were trying to attract the taco, and finally Cooper helped the grounds crew change out 3rd base after the 3rd inning.

CANCELLATION: Due to the chance of severe weather in Muscatine, the JV/V Baseball games schedule at Muscatine tonight (Tuesday, May 21) have been CANCELLED. #OneFairfield

Our new baseball/softball concession stand is nearing completion and we are planning to have the stand somewhat operational for this Friday's JV/V baseball games vs Pekin. Pasted below is a link for people to sign-up to help in the concession stand. Currently, there are 23 dates and 58 time slots where help is needed in order to have the stand open for all of our Home MS, JV, and Varsity games. Please consider signing up to help. "Many hands make light work" Even if you could sign up for just one time slot then it would be a big help. The booster club supports all of our athletic programs so having the stand open at our home events is vital for this financial support to continue! Thank you in advance for the consideration! Pasted below is the link to sign-up. Go Trojans! #OneFairfield https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E084EAAAD2BA57-summer1

Mental Health Week continues at FMS Friday.

With guidance from community volunteer, Barbara Stone, principal, Mrs. Marten, and advisors, Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Brown, Builders Club members planted at the Fairfield Community Garden. They will continue to care for their plot throughout the summer.
According to Better Brain Nation Magazine, “Growing a plant involves various cognitive activities, such as planning, problem-solving, and learning about plant care” (5).
Look for updates this summer!
