Mallory Mahon

Meet Mallory Mahon, FHS Coordinator of Student Services

Mallory stated, “I am very honored to have had a student nominate me for the staff shout-out. Thank you”.

Mallory went on to say she sincerely enjoys working at FHS and in the FCSD. Mallory began teaching as a band director in 2008, mostly in the Kansas City area, and joined the Fairfield team in 2021, with this year being her first as the FHS Coordinator of Student Services. Mallory is enjoying the change in position and really enjoys the difference she gets to make for staff and students in this capacity.

Mallory lives in Keosauqua with her husband, Darin, and her two kids, Naomi (10) and Emmett (8). Together, they enjoy traveling, fishing, watching movies, supporting each other in their various activities, spending time outdoors, and laughing any chance they get.

In Mallory’s free time, she also enjoys cooking, hosting dinner parties, spending time in the garden, reading, golfing, getting her regular fix of rocks, trees, and water, and participating in community events. Mallory also enjoys playing music, and she is a member of the Fairfield Municipal Band, the Fairfield All-Star Jazz Band, and the Tarnished Brass Band based in Keosauqua.

Mallory loves working for the staff and students of FHS. She enjoys having the opportunity to connect with students and staff daily, and her biggest hope is that staff and students of FHS always feel supported by her and know she is doing her best for them.

This is what a student sent in about Mallory. “She is one awesome lady. Not only does she connect with the students, but she has helped all of us through tough times, and she’s got one fabulous sense of humor; the high school students are blessed to have her!

Mallory, Thank you for choosing to be a part of our team! We appreciate you!
