Meet LaShai Rogers, High School Secretary
LaShai stated, “Thank you for this opportunity. I am blessed to have been chosen”. LaShai said she is just a simple woman. LaShai also stated, “I live by God’s word and I try to accomplish His word daily”. LaShai stated she is not perfect but she is perfect in His image. LaShai was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa for the first half of her life and Denver, Colorado for the other half. LaShai graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1991.
LaShai has worked for the FCSD for a year and a half and is blessed to be here. She has worked many jobs in management such as banks and restaurants. LaShai has been married for 20 years to the love of her life, Curtis Rogers. She has one daughter, Victoria and she is the love of her life. LaShai said she adopts a lof of kids because she is called to them and is a youth advocate in church and on the streets. LaShai believes they are our future and it is her job to lead them down the right path.
LaShai has a dog named Loki and three outdoor cats named Salem, Scotch and Stormy. She loves her family and loves going to Iowa Hawkeye games. LaShai went to the University of Phoenix and Iowa School of Beauty. She has been trained in Cosmetology, Criminal Justice and a Savory Chef. LaShai believes we all have a purpose and her purpose is to work with youth. Her dream is to one day open a boys and girls club so they all have a refuge place to go. LaShai is grateful to be at FHS and working with everyone and looks forward to more time in the district.
A student submitted LaShai’s name and said the following, “I would like to give LaShai a shoutout because she is always greeting people, and smiling. She's super funny, and is always ready to talk to students, and teachers, and always has something to say. I am super glad she started working at the High School, and I hope she continues to do so. Thank you LaShai!!!!!” LaShai, thank you for being a part of our team. We appreciate you!
