Tuesday’s FMS Announcements, September 17th
7th grade football players and cheerleaders will be dismissed at 3:00pm TODAY for a 3:15p departure over to the HS for their home game against Mediapolis. NO early release for the 8th grade Football team as they will have their own bus taking them to the HS at 4:00pm.

In the 8th grade volleyball team’s opening night Monday, they won 2 sets and lost 4 sets. For serving, Lauren White went 11 for 11, Josie Mosinski went 10 for 12, and Nadia Royer went 5 for 5. Keep up the good work, ladies!

Do you love all you can eat made from scratch buttermilk pancakes, along with sausage and a choice of drink? Of course, you do! Well, this Saturday from 6am to 1pm is your chance to get that tasty breakfast at the Kiwanis Kids Day celebration on the Fairfield square. Tickets are sold at the tent. Come for the pancakes and stay for the parade at 10am with many of your friends in the parade. There will be several bounce houses and other games and activities that are free. We will see you this Saturday on the square!

8th football players and the MS cheerleaders will be dismissed at 3:05 today for a 3:15 departure to ride the bus over to the HS for their home game tonight.
7th football is being dismissed at 2:35p for a 2:45p departure for their away game at Burlington.

The Middle School Cross Country Teams kicked off their seasons in Ottumwa tonight. The Boys team won the team championship lead by Elijah Hamilton and Elisha Vander Linden, who finished 4th and 5th respectfully. Madilyn Miller finished 17th in the Middle School girls race:

Come out and support the Fairfield Middle School Student Council when you cheer on the Trojan Football team Friday night . The Student Council will be selling Lemonade Shake Ups for $5. These will be available until they sell out!

Wear your favorite team colors at Fairfield Middle School tomorrow. Pick your favorite side of the in state battle by wearing your HAWKEYE or cyclone colors to school. If you don't want to pick a side for the HAWKEYE state rivalry you can choose to support the Trojans by wearing Orange and Black.

The FMS Bible Study is back! Bible study will hold its first meeting THIS FRIDAY at 7:35a in Room 109 (the old FACS Room in the 6th grade hallway). It is open to ALL 5th through 8th grade students as well as staff. Come and bring a friend for a tasty breakfast and stay for a word of encouragement from the Bible. See Mr. Thompson or Mrs. Mosinski with any questions. We are excited to see you at Bible Study this Friday, September 6th, at 7:35a in room 109!

5th & 6th grade students: With Friday’s having the 2 pm early out each week, there will be 2 new clubs added. They will start on Friday, September 6th. One is Board Game Club and the other is Makerspace Club (Design, Create & Build). Times for these clubs will be from 2:00-3:30p
You will need to pick up forms to sign up for these clubs. They need filled out and signed by a parent. Please return them into the office when completed. These clubs will be limited to only 20 kids each. Be sure to get you forms in soon if you are interested!
