Dear Families,
Earlier this afternoon, local law enforcement officials informed the Fairfield Community School District that they were investigating a report of an adult with a firearm near the area of Washington Elementary and the High School.
To be safe, all schools sheltered in place until police gave us the all clear which happened shortly thereafter once that person was located and apprehended. All students were safe, and we took this action out of an abundance of caution and at the direction of the Fairfield Police Department.
We wanted to make sure you were aware. Thank you for your attention to this update.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephanie Mishler
Superintendent

6th Grade Social Students spent time learning about Holidays Around the World. Students had an opportunity to pick a different country and learn about the traditions of the holiday season of their selected country. The past 3 days students then presented the information to their classmates. Many students brought treats or performed music pieces that were traditional to their country. The students and teachers really enjoyed the special treats from around the world. Here is the collage created with pictures from their project, https://shorturl.at/tKRUX
