Preschool Families: Please check in with Brenda at the ACT to ensure that your preschool student’s information is current! ☎️District Office: 641-472-2655 We offer flexible preschool options with 4 half days (Monday-Thursday). You can choose between AM or PM sessions and there are no fees for our half-day program! We're also exploring a full-day option with a potential fee. In light of continuing adverse winter conditions, classes at Fairfield Schools will be canceled for Friday, January 19th. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the well-being of our school community.

Fairfield Schools will be on a 2-hour delay schedule for Friday, January 19th. Buses will run on hard surfaces only.

The FCSD Board of Directors approved the early retirement of 13 dedicated employees, contributing a total of 241 years of service to our district. 🙌 Thank you to Kathy Box, Tina Breen, Debbie Finney, Mick Flattery, Fred Hucke, Shirly Haynes, Stephany Harward, Christe Lamansky, Karla Rebling, Christy Leazer, Linda Kennedy, Nancy Oliver, and Patricia Small for your incredible commitment. 

If your bus-riding student has lost a hat, glove, coat..., make sure you check the Bus Barn's Lost & Found items. Please check with the Bus Barn soon (641-472-5252) as remaining items will be donated to charity January 31, 2024.

Exciting news! The FCSD Board of Directors has officially named the new high school auditorium the Mitcheltree, Slechta, Edgeton Auditorium, honoring three outstanding Fairfield alumni: 🎭Linda Mitcheltree was a Vocal Music Instructor from 1983 to 2009. 🎭Scott Slechta was an English Teacher from 1984 to 2017. In addition, he was the Fairfield High School drama director. Slechta was also named Iowa Teacher of the Year in 2016. 🎭Jim Edgeton was a Band Instructor from 1992 to 2021.

Due to predicted weather conditions, Fairfield CSD is cancelling classes for Tuesday, Jan. 16th, 2024. The scheduled board meeting will still take place at the ACT at 6:30 PM. Please see your email for more information on school make up days.

On Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Fairfield Community School District pays tribute to a hero whose courage and wisdom shaped our nation's history. His legacy calls us to forge a society founded on equality, respect, and love. Note: There will be no school today.

A voted Physical Plant and Equipment Levy will be on the ballot for the Fairfield Community School District on Tuesday, March 5! The PPEL is a voter-approved levy that generates funds our district can only use for infrastructure and equipment repairs, purchases, and improvements. FCSD is one of the more than 83% of Iowa school districts that relies on a voted PPEL.
