
Hello, Middle School families!
We're looking forward to hosting our first conferences of the year on Monday, October 7. Conference time slots will be available from 8-10 AM, 12-3 PM, and 4-7 PM. During conferences, we will share data from our FAST and MAP assessments, classroom performance, and celebrations about all your students have been doing here at FMS so far this year.
Please take a few minutes to sign up to meet with your child's teachers. 5th grade families, please sign up with your child's homeroom teacher. You are also welcome to sign up with specials teachers. 6th through 8th grade families, feel free to sign up with as many of your child's teachers you'd like to see.

Tuesday’s FMS Announcements, September 24th
Teachers, please release the 8th grade football team and managers TODAY at 2:50 for their game in Mt. Pleasant. The 7th grade team will be dismissed at 3:00 pm and catch the bus at 3:10 to go to our high school stadium. Game at 4:30! Good luck, teams!
The cheerleaders will also catch the 3:10 bus to the high school with the football players.

The 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Burlington for their away game last night. The A and B teams both played hard fought games but both ended with a loss. However, C and D teams both were able to end on top with a win. MVPs for their games last night were Alyssa Keller, Kelsey Stearns, and Cienna Smith. Hayden Fulton, Addison Hagans, Brooklyn Hines, and Delaney Ward were all ready to play and hopped in to play at a moments notice with great results. Great job last night ladies.

The 8th grade volleyball team battled hard last night, but lost to Burlington. In serving, Kate Brecount went 4 for 4 with 2 aces, Braezyn Stutzman went 8 for 9, and Breena Golden went 11 for 12. On offense, Kayla Morris had 3 kills and Josie Mosinski had 2 kills.

MS VOLLEYBALL LOCATION CHANGE! Due to unavailability of officials in Keokuk, the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams will BOTH play at HOME tonight (Thursday, Sept 19). 7th grade will play first at 4:30p followed by the 8th grade games with an estimated start time of 6:00p. Go Trojans!

On September 9, FMS 8th graders had a field trip to Lake Darling where they got to learn more about the park, go on a nature walk, drive boats, and even catch some fish!
We are so grateful to those who volunteered their time to support our trip, as well as to the transportation department and middle school staff who planned a meaningful day for our students.
