6th grade band went out to Parkview Care Center to put on an outdoor concert. We had a great time performing and an even better time visiting with the residents afterwards.

Eighth graders are hard at work this week planning projects that focus around inventions that help solve a problem. This one is called "the zoomy" to help lazy people throw away trash!
5th graders had another amazing field trip with great weather today. They visited Jefferson County Park for Pioneer Day! Thank you staff, Brittany Tiller, and volunteers who put this field trip on today! Kids had a great time spear throwing, candle making, weaving, fire starting, and making toys!

We want to say a special Happy Teacher's Appreciation Week! We have been spoiled with all our student council and PTO meals and food, along with generous donations from Walmart! Our teachers and staff are hard working and we appreciate all they do! Thank you teachers!

Trenady Sammons, former FMS student, and her younger sister Liberty and Liberty's two friends, Elliot and Alex Joe, wanted to do something nice for our teachers for teacher appreciation week. We are so grateful that they wanted to show their appreciation for ALL Educators in FCSD. So, they delivered gifts this week to all of our teachers in FCSD!Thank you for your kindness!

5th graders are off to Des Moines again! Great start to the morning learning about the history of Iowa! This afternoon we tour the Capitol.

Future business leaders of America came over from the high school today. They spoke to eighth graders about this awesome opportunity at the high school next year. We hope our eighth graders explore this opportunity. Great way to learn business, teamwork, collaboration, and speaking skills!
8th graders are visiting the HS today to start working on transitioning! Only 15 school days left this year. They are a great group of students, and HS is lucky to have them coming their way!
Way to go, Bryce! He has been saving his classroom money rewards that they can earn for showing Trojan pride expectations! He has been saving his money for over 30 days. Today he was rewarded with lunch with friends. Their faces say it all!
The Fairfield Kiwanis Club provided 100% of the funding needed in order to purchase LifeVac devices for all four school buildings and the ACT Center. Pictured are our two school nurses, Heather Miller and Alicia Roop, receiving one of the devices from Kiwanis member and school counselor Jay Thompson. Multiple devices are located throughout each of the buildings to provide a rapid response option should a child or adult choke on an object. The device is a one-way suction device that is replaced for free if ever used to rescue someone. The FCSD thanks the Fairfield Kiwanis Club for their generosity and for their care for our students!
We had an awesome field trip today! Students even got to see representatives that finished their session an hour before we arrived, and Governor Reynolds as she signed a bill. Pretty awesome day today!
