Pence Staff Shout-out for Mrs. Nelson Mrs. Suzy Nelson works hard for her students every day. She constantly evaluates their learning and strives to meet each student’s needs. I often hear Suzy singing and being silly with her kids which makes the learning environment fun. She also has great ideas to share with her team members along with helping with many committees and the After School Program. Suzy is quick to share teaching and behavior strategies that work well for her with others. She is very deserving of a shout out!

Pence Staff Shout-out: 3rd grade Team This team is awesome! Each member contributes to the success of the group. I can go to any one of them with a question and be supported. All voices are heard and respected. We have each other's backs. And, our team meetings always include plenty of laughter! I love the 3rd grade team!

Pence Staff Shout-out: Reesa Starr Reesa shows up each day with a smile and ready for what the day brings. She is loved by all students, as she is kind and helpful to any student she encounters. She holds students to high standards while meeting them where they are at. She is an amazing asset to our Pence Family!

Pence Staff Shout-out for our Pence 2nd grade team! Our 2nd grade team, along with many staff & family volunteers just pulled off an amazing field trip for our entire 2nd grade! Our 2nd grade team worked closely with Timberdoodle to pull off our first Day into Night INDOOR field trip, with the feel of an outdoor vibe! Many worked late into Friday night to put Pence back to its original state and ensure that each of our students had a fantastic time. Thank you ladies for going above and beyond! Our students thoroughly enjoyed their Day into Night Field Trip at Pence!

Within her classroom, she ensures that all students are treated equally and provides them the resources they need to be successful. We are fortunate to have such a great team member. In 2021, Fairfield Community School District asked voters for a new $30 million Middle School building, and the voters did not support it. The district listened to voters and re-evaluated the process to look at a long-range plan for the district. A facilities assessment was completed in 2020, and the district partnered with the architect firm FEH Design. FEH Design then reviewed the assessment. The assessment identified that hundreds of thousands of dollars need to be invested into each of the four school buildings for maintenance, safety, and ADA requirements. The district recruited a community advisory task force to look at long-term visions for the district’s facilities. The school board wants to make wise decisions that align with the community's long-term visions and financial capabilities so funding is not expended in a short-sighted way. Hello Everyone, In the late fall, the FHS League of Legends team placed 2nd in the state.  On March 3rd, the FHS Rocket League team will enter the state tournament as the #2 Seed. The Trojan Esports store is now open beginning today and will remain open until 2/21/23 to order your state qualifier shirts.  The shirts that are ordered will be delivered to the schools by 3/2 so that you can wear your support our our esports athletes on Friday the 3rd for their state tournament appearance.
