The bond referendum for FCSD will appear on the November 4 ballot as Public Measure LR. The measure reads:
Shall the Board of Directors of the Fairfield Community School District in the Counties of Jefferson, Henry, Van Buren, Wapello and Washington, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $39,500,000 to provide funds to build, furnish, and equip a new middle school building, including site improvements?

Congratulations to FHS Choir participants Bailey Belzer, Layla Terrell, Daisy Trent, Tara Carter, Nicole Hunger, Ulysses Ascencio-Solis, Xavier Kessel, Shri Pattar and Landon Price-Burton on their recent selection to participate in the All-State Music Festival! T-shirts are being sold with their names on the back. The shirts are short sleeved and cost $15 each. Front and back designs are attached. 38 FHS FBLA members attended the Fall Leadership Conference on October 26–27, where they took part in professional workshops, networking opportunities, and informative leadership sessions. Students learned valuable business skills, connected with members from across the state, and gained motivation to excel in future FBLA competitions and activities.

The first option is directing architects and engineers to review the construction projects to make them more economically feasible without sacrificing quality. A second option would be to allocate other resources (like more SAVE revenue or PPEL funds) to make up the difference.
