Jeannine received her Associate of Arts degree from Ottumwa Heights College. Ms. Simmons graduated from William Penn College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in K - 6 Art Education. In addition, Jeannine holds certification for K - 6 Reading endorsement. She completed courses to earn certification for K-6 Special Education from Buena Vista University in 2005.

Jeannine Simmons is a former Fairfield High School graduate. Ms. Simmons began teaching at FCSD in 2004, at FMS, as an associate for 1 year. She then began as the 6th grade Level 1 Special Education teacher.

Jeannine received certification for secondary special education from Morningside College and in 2012 and moved to FHS to serve students there for two years, serving students with special needs in grades 9-12.

In 2013 Jeannine received Driver Education certification from Grandview University and is employed by Drive Quest. She is serving as the instructor for driver education classes for Fairfield and surrounding areas.

Beginning in 2014 Mrs. Simmons teaches 8th grade students at FMS.
