Mr. Owen has been teaching in the Fairfield Community School District since 2002. During that time, he has taught both General and Vocal music, as well as many different grade level or voice combination music ensembles. He also teaches beginning guitar lessons before and after school.
Mr. Owen received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Iowa Wesleyan and his Master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
