Mitigation Expectations & Requirements at Extracurricular Events
August 26, 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians, Students & Community Members,
This week it has been great to see students performing in classrooms and on the playing fields! Our #1 goal is to keep these academic and extracurricular realms going and functioning as "normal" as they can be during this pandemic. It will take the efforts of many to make this possible. This letter provides some of the mitigation efforts, recommendations, requirements, and expectations that FCSD will have and will be promoting at our home extracurricular events.
Masks or an appropriate facial covering will be required to be worn by all spectators attending our indoor events. Masks will also be required for high school students attending FCSD outdoor events who choose to sit in the HS student section. For all other spectators attending outdoor activities, masks are not required but highly recommended.
Social distancing of 3-6 feet between different family units is strongly encouraged at FCSD events. We understand this can be challenging, but FCSD wants to promote as much safety as possible.
Elementary and Middle School students attending High School events need to sit with their parents, guardians, or adult chaperones.
Attendance of events is not a mandatory activity. FCSD will attempt to stream as many activities as possible.
If you are sick or displaying any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home. FCSD and our student-athletes appreciate your amazing support and realize that staying home is not an ideal situation, however, know that by doing so is in the best interest of our student-athletes and community members.
Please know that the safety of our student-athletes and our community members is FCSD's number one priority! If we all do our part and follow these mitigation recommendations, hopefully, we will be able to keep these events running smoothly and safely with a lot of Trojan Spirit & Pride! Thanks & Go Trojans!
