From the adoption of Chromebooks into our circulation, printing support has always been an issue. Google naturally prides themselves on the collaborating powers of Google Docs and, for the most part, keeps their heads focused in the direction of a paperless future.
However, we understand that there may still be some situations where a printed hard copy may be preferred. For this reason, FCSD invested in a simple solution to allow printing to cloud enabled printers this last summer.
Starting today, two public cloud printers have been implemented at both our HS and MS sites. In both buildings, the library printer will be deemed the cloud or public printer. Users will start to notice the option to print to their respective buildings within today's date of Sept 29th, 2015. The two public printers have been designated where they would be supervised to discourage abuse by printing things that necessarily do not need to be printed.
