FMS recently celebrated meeting their Pennies For Patients goal by allowing the students to vote on which teachers to dunk in a dunk tank. The voting took place during lunch. The students enjoyed dunking their teachers on a cold and blustery day.
The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner! Students across the country are collecting pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the Pennies For Patients campaigns benefiting the Society.
Enjoy some of the highlights from the Dunk A Teacher Assembly.
Fairfield FFA Chapter Annual Banquet Sunday, May 8, 2016
On April 5th, KCRG-TV9's Weather Academy made a visit to Fairfield Middle School. KCRG Meteorologist Kaj O'Mara spent time with the 6th Grade students on this morning discussing severe weather. Mr. O'Mara taught the class how storms form and how we can stay safe during the severe weather season. The Weather Academy visit ties into the weather unit taking place in Science. The students learned real life applications of Science, Math, & Social Studies during the lesson. We appreciate KCRG and Kaj O'Mara for making the trip down to Fairfield from Cedar Rapids. It was a great morning of learning!
