FMS Students of the Month - January 2019

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month’ certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.


Spencer McCready has been selected as the January Student of the Month. Spencer strives to improve the quality of his work by putting in extra effort.  He always has a positive attitude and does a great job of contributing to class discussions.  Spencer uses integrity and leads by example.  He is a good role model for his peers. Congratulations, Spencer!  


Ava Connor has strived to put academic first.  She is a leader and is intrinsically motivated to achieve success. When the task is difficult, Ava puts her nose to the grindstone. Ava, keep striving to be the best you can be!  I am proud of you!


Gage Wheeler has been chosen as the 6th grade Student of the Month for January.  He works hard and participates in class every day.  He is willing to share his thinking with others and comes to class prepared to learn.  He is respectful to his teachers and peers.  Keep working hard, Gage!


The 6th grade team is proud to announce Kayse Miller as our Student of the Month for January. Kayse is a quiet leader, and works with those who need help around her, even when she isn't asked to do so. Kayse has a strong work ethic and a strong desire to learn. Congratulations, Kayse! Keep up the good work! 


The 7th grade team would like to honor Seth Flynn with the January Student of the Month Award. Seth is viewed as a positive student with a sunny attitude. His teachers describe him as respectful, a hard worker, and contributes to his learning. He also is a student that continually keeps working toward success, no matter what road blocks he may encounter. He does not let those road blocks deter his attitude and helpfulness. Congratulations, Seth on using perseverance to achieve your goals!


The 7th grade team would like to congratulate Arianna Turnbough receiving the January Student of the Month Award. Arianna is a friendly girl that has a positive outlook on the tasks she has been given. The team recognizes that she is a hard worker and sets the bar high for herself. Even though she works hard to achieve her goals, she brings fun and peppiness to her classrooms. Congratulations, Arianna!


The 8th Grade team would like to recognize Jack Unger for January Student of the Month! Jack has demonstrated Trojan PRIDE in the classroom by being respectful to both his peers and his classmates. He comes to class prepared and ready to learn. He works well with his fellow classmates and lends a helping hand whenever he can. Teachers can count on Jack to voluntarily contribute to and participate in both class discussions and activities. Keep up the great work, Jack! 


Viola Welsh demonstrates Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom. She is always well mannered and respectful. During class, she works well with others and continuously puts forth her best effort. The eighth-grade team enjoys having you in class. Keep it up, Viola!
