FMS Students of the Month

December 2018

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month’ certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.

Kendra Allison shows Trojan PRIDE day after day. I am so impressed with her compassion toward others, her willingness to always be a helper and her mature choices. Kendra is always one of the first people to volunteer to help another student, give up her time, and quick to participate. She has impeccable integrity and has shown me in several situations that she is one of the most trustworthy students I know. I am so fortunate to have her in my class. She is a role model for others. Well deserved, Kendra!

Axl Starr has been chosen for the December Student of the Month!  Axl brings a great attitude to school each day.  He works hard in class to do his best. He is a great friend and leader. I know that I can count on him to do the right thing no matter the situation.  He shows all the qualities of Trojan PRIDE.  Congratulations, Axl!  Keep up the good work!

The 6th grade team is proud to honor Lilly Bergren as Student of the Month.  Lilly is full of positive energy and enthusiasm. She approaches every task with a can-do attitude.  Even if she has doubts or questions, she dives right in, always doing her best.  She loves learning, takes pride in her improvements, and doesn't let challenges defeat her.  Lilly is supportive of her classmates, is always willing to help others, and is kind to those around her.  Way to go, and keep up the good work, Lilly!

Congratulations to Mazen Hamouda for being chosen as the 6th grade Student of the Month for December. Mazen is a hard worker and a creative thinker. In class, he is willing to share his ideas and show other students how he solved problems. He isn't afraid to think "outside the box" and come up with solutions others haven't thought of. Way to go, Mazen!

The 7th grade team would like to recognize Allison Hunger as the December Student of the Month recipient. Allison is a kind, caring student, that pays attention to staff & student well-being. She also has a desire to achieve as much as possible from her learning. Furthermore, Allison is helpful, an advocate for herself, and a positive leader. She leads to impact as many people as she can, showing Trojan PRIDE. Congratulations, Allison!

The 7th grade team would like to recognize Elizabeth Martin as the recipient of the December Student of the Month Award. There is an aura about Elizabeth that establishes the tone of high maturity and work ethic. With this being said, she has high expectations for herself and shows growth as a learner by revisiting the learning opportunities she has with her work. Overall, Elizabeth takes her academics seriously, which aids her to be a leader of Trojan PRIDE. Congratulations, Elizabeth!

Maggie Peterson has been selected as December Student of the Month! Maggie is a valuable addition to FMS.  A team player, Maggie works well with others in small groups, she is a willing helper to others for whom a task is more difficult, and she is a student who can be relied on to do the right thing no matter what.  We call that integrity.  Mt. Pleasant's loss is our gain.  Welcome to FMS, Maggie.  Keep up the good work and congratulations!

The Eighth-Grade team would like to congratulate Preston Stevenson on Student of the Month for December. Preston is a hard-working student who is full of integrity both in and out of the classroom.
