FMS Students of the Month

October 2018

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month’ certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.

Emmelia Miller has been selected as the 5th grade Student of the Month for October. Emmelia can be counted on to always do her best.  She is conscientious about her work and always puts forth extra effort.  She does a great job of asking questions to extend her learning.   She is enthusiastic about learning, and she has a great attitude! Emmelia is a great leader both in the classroom and out at recess. Congratulations Emmelia!  Keep up the good work!

Brock Atwood consistently shows Trojan PRIDE every day. He is respectful in class as well as on the playground. He is very trustworthy and any teacher could rely on him to do what he needs to do. He comes to school with a positive growth mindset, and knows that coming to school is his job. Brock is a great example for his classmates and I am lucky to have him as a part of our classroom. Awesome job, Brock!

The 6th-grade team is proud to honor Lucas Konczal as the Student of the Month in October. Lucas has brought a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn to the classroom on a daily basis.  Lucas also provides strong leadership in the classroom and is always willing to help others. Congratulations, Lucas and keep up the great work!

We as a 6th-grade team are pleased to announce that Avery Morris has been selected for October Student of the Month.  Avery is a kind, hardworking student that is an excellent role model for all students.  She always comes to class prepared and on task. We couldn't ask for a better student to be awarded the SOM.

The 7th-grade team would like to recognize Julio Velasco-Shondel as the recipient of the October 2018 Student of the Month award. Julio realizes the importance of attendance, and how that attributes to his successes as a learner. Not only does he value being present physically, but mentally as well. He makes eye contact, has a willing attitude, and is engaged in class. In all, Julio is a quiet leader and contributes to a positive classroom culture. Congratulations, Julio!

The 7th-grade team would like to recognize Carter Stutzman as the recipient of the October 2018 Student of the Month award. Carter is able to find the bright spot within any situation and his positivity shines through in his actions. He has a strong work ethic, takes challenges head-on, and leads by example. Furthermore, Carter believes in the mission of Trojan PRIDE and models it daily. Congratulations, Carter!

Kate Pettit is a really hard worker, who doesn't take any prompting to do the right thing. She shows maturity and leadership in all of her classes. She gets her work done efficiently, asks for help when needed, and can be counted on to help others. Kate has a great sense of humor. Teachers really appreciate that they can joke around with her. We appreciate you, Kate. Keep up the good work!

Alisha Brinkschroeder is the October Student of the Month for 8th-grade.  Hard working and conscientious, she does her work with a smile and always on time.  We appreciate her willingness to help others and her kind and friendly attitude.  We feel Alisha exemplifies Trojan PRIDE, and we're happy to bestow this award on her.
