Attention Past Homecoming Queens and Kings:  Homecoming 2017 is coming up quickly (September 29th). This year we would like to have a float in the parade with as many past Homecoming Queens and Kings as possible. If you are able and would like to ride on this float, please contact the High School office by phone (641-472-2059) or by email to heidi.grunwald@fairfieldsfuture.org or brian.stone@fairfieldsfuture.org.

Fairfield Community School District’s Homecoming Week begins on Monday, Sept. 25th with a Pep Assembly at 1pm in the HS gym to introduce the Homecoming King and Queen Candidates.  The FHS Student Council has announced the Homecoming Theme to be “TROJAN PRIDE”.

The Student Council has also announced the dress up days.  Monday is “‘America Day”, Tuesday is “T.V. Character and Movie Character Day”, Wednesday is “Mismatch Day”, Thursday is “Holiday Day”, and Friday is “Orange & Black Spirit Day.”  Businesses, please join us again this year in our dress-up days.

We will continue the tradition of the Powderpuff Men’s Volleyball game. This will be held Wednesday afternoon during school hours. On Sept. 28th, the     annual Thursday Night Rally will take place at the FHS stadium beginning at 6:30 p.m.  During the Thursday Night Rally we will have the Powderpuff Women’s  Football games with each grade.  Other events occurring at the Rally will be a cheerleader performance, the crowning of the King and Queen at approximately 8:00 p.m., a pep talk from Coach Matt Jones, and fireworks.

On Friday, Sept. 29th, we will have the Homecoming Parade. Keeping the spirit of ONE FAIRFIELD, we are going to include the other schools. The parade will start at the high school, turn south onto D street (go past Washington Elementary), turn west onto Fillmore (go past the Middle School), turn north onto 6th street (go past Pence Elementary) and then the parade will weave its way back to the square.  Back at the square at about 2:30 p.m, the band and cheerleaders will perform, the candy, baby picture, and float contest winners will be announced, and a pep talk from Mr. Cory Klehm will occur.

On Friday evening, the  9th grade game against Oskaloosa will begin at 5:00 p.m. The Varsity Football game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The homecoming festivities will conclude with a dance in the HS on Friday night from 9:00pm until midnight with Purple Star Entertainment as the D.J.  GO TROJANS!!
