Under advisement of School Administrators of Iowa legal counsel and U.S. Department of Justice: Civil Rights Division, FCSD maintains that:
All protected classes will be accepted into our learning environments, free from any discrimination
Student safety and emotional well-being will remain a top priority
Bullying and harassment of any individual or group will not be tolerated and will be addressed according to FCSD Board policy
FCSD is a public education system that adheres to current legal guidance that offers any student the right to utilize facilities that align to the gender with which the student identifies
Any FCSD student who feels their privacy is being violated will be accommodated
