Students arrive for the 2008-2009 school year

This week marks the beginning of school for students in the Fairfield Community School District. Students were anxious to see their friends and teachers as they started the new year!
Third graders make the shift from the "little kids' hallway" to the "big kids' hallway".
"It is a big difference," said one student, "I feel like I'm all grown up now!" Teachers are hitting the ground running and I have even heard there was some homework assigned.
We all look forward to another exciting school year. This first few days have been great and we have only had a few tears in kindergarten. Thanks to all the parents and families for their support this first week. It is going to be another great year at Pence.
