Students and their family leaders worked like busy beavers to beautify the grounds at Lincoln School.
Weeds, Flowers, and 'mulch' more!
Earth Day is
more than just a holiday on the calendar to Lincoln students!
On May 9 everyone gathered in their school families to pull
weeds, plant flowers and carry buckets and buckets and buckets (you
get the picture!) of mulch to the various flower beds and around
trees surrounding Lincoln School.

Planting flowers, carrying mulch, pulling weeds . . . just a few of the tasks completed by Lincoln students in honor of Earth Day.
As you can see from the
photos, having 120 students all working together - at the same time
- might look like lots of little ants hustling about. But it
was a terrific mass effort - staff members were so pleased with the
efforts of the students that one e-mail message after another was
sent back and forth celebrating the terrific job the students
did.

Beautiful butterfly garden thanks to Mrs. Sobaski's family.
Stop
and take a look around the library, by the front door, under the
sign, and around all our trees. Our students are so proud of
their work - which they should be - and we all feel good about
doing our part to beautify one little part of the earth.
